Nottingham Forest shoot Brighton to move from bottom of table

BRIGHTON, England (AP) — Nottingham Forest picked up a hard-fought point in a 0-0 draw at Brighton to climb the bottom of the Premier League on Tuesday.

Brighton dominated the game at the Amex Stadium but again lacked the edge, coming closest when Leandro Trossard hit a hard shot against the crossbar in the first half.

It has now been four games without a win for Brighton since Roberto De Zerbi took over as replacement for Graham Potter at the end of September. He hasn’t scored in the last three games.

Forest, meanwhile, have only won a second away point this season and overtook second-to-bottom Leicester with six points. Since a 4-0 loss at Leicester in early October put his job at risk, Forest manager Steve Cooper has set up his squad to make them harder to beat in recent games and it’s paying off.

The visitors barely created a clean chance at the other end, however, and relied on goalkeeper Dean Henderson to score a point.

The former Manchester United keeper’s best saves came from Solly March’s low shot in the first half and then Pascal Gross’ missed effort midway through the second half.
